Status of compliance with requirements
The service mentioned above is partially compliant with the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG). The website underwent a comprehensive redesign in 2026; this involved the removal of numerous barriers (including consistent indication of the page language, sufficient colour contrast in body text and control elements, semantic headings and keyboard-accessible navigation). However, some barriers remain.
The following parts/content/features of the service are currently not accessible, or are not fully accessible:
• On the ‘References’ page, some of the project and placeholder images are missing alternative text, which limits the output provided by screen readers.
• Not all input fields in the contact form are clearly linked to visible labels.
• Some decorative elements (small numerals) fall just short of the higher contrast requirement for continuous text.
• Occasionally, levels are skipped in the order of the heading levels.
• Embedded Google Maps are not fully accessible to screen readers.
• Some content provided by third parties is not fully compatible with screen readers.
Non-accessible parts of the service – implementation deadlines
The barriers mentioned are being gradually addressed as part of the ongoing relaunch. The addition of alternative text, the optimisation of the contact form and the adjustments to the contrast and heading requirements mentioned are scheduled to be completed by 31 December 2026 at the latest.
